At the southern tip of Baja California you’ll find the resort area known as Los Cabos, with its main town called Cabo San Lucas. Unlike Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco, Los Cabos barely existed as of the late 1970s so it’s mostly a purpose-built resort district more like Cancun and without much real history.

November to February is the time of year when visitors will notice the highest hotel and flight costs. It is during this time that you’ll be sharing the area with locals, seasonal snow birds and other short-term visitors.
Summer sees lower prices and fewer crowds.

Food and drinks in the main tourist zone surrounding the harbor are rarely cheap, but it’s a fun area and it’s arguably worth paying more for a wonderful view. If you get out of the tourist area prices are obviously lower, and that includes some of the low-key independent beach hotels.

Weather is generally pretty nice throughout the year with only a few months that present heavy rain. Most visit during the summers when the water is at its clearest and the days are long and sunny.
Temperatures do however, change a lot from day to night. During the summer, day temperatures reach into the 90s while nighttime finds temperatures down in the 60s. This allows for a great day at the beach followed by a great nights sleep.
Late summer into early fall is hurricane season. If you’re planing to visit during this time, be prepared to sit inside and wait out any small storms. You’ll also find that there is no true winter here, as temperatures never drop that far.
