Trinidad and Tobago are one nation, but each island is relatively far apart for the Caribbean and they are usually visited separately. Trinidad is heavily populated and highly industrialized (for the Caribbean) while Tobago is sparsely populated and mostly unspoiled.

Trinidad is much larger and has a far larger population, but it lags Tobago a bit when it comes to tourist resorts and hotels. Prices are similar on both island and they are treated separately in most travel searches.
The rainy season occurs from June all the way into December. Due to the heavy rain, most visitors choose to visit outside of these months helping to keep hotel prices low. During the other half of the year visitors will find that prices, both hotel and flights, increase.

Trinidad has a large airport and Tobago has a smaller one. Since the islands aren’t too close and ferry service is slow and a bit expensive you are advised to fly directly to the island where you’ll be staying.
Trinidad has Piarco International Airport, which is a large facility with many long-haul nonstop flights coming in plus extensive service between Caribbean islands.
Tobago has Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson International Airport, which is smaller, but still large enough for wide-body jets from far away.

Found in the middle of the tropical Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago enjoy a maritime tropical climate that is influenced by the constant northeast trade winds that hug the islands.
Throughout the year, the average temperature rests close to 78 degrees alongside a high humidity. During the rainy season (summer), humidity jumps up to about 85%. On average, you’ll find that this paradise gets about 83 inches of rain a year during very quick showers.
Outside of the summer months, visitors will find themselves settled by the sea breezes and dipping in the water.
Make sure to pack light clothing that easily breathes.
